Today we are interviewing for my team of make-up artists the WoW Factor. This is really important to me, as this team is an extension of me in many ways. It’s a tough choice to make as I want great artists but they have to have a lot of other things to that make them stand out. I am looking for confident people with a great presence. This is so important because my clients have to feel comfortable that the artists are in control.
The artists have to be warm, kind and encouraging… but sincere, Photo shoots, special events, etc., are commonly stressful situations for our clients. Sometimes they start doubting themselves and their choices. I need artists that are compassionate about this and reassure the clients with sincere opinions.
I need professionals who show up and show up prepared…always, period.
I need experienced, educated, talented artists that are passionate about what they do and that are willing to strive to be the best they can be.
So today is exciting. We have a full line up and we will hold one other set of interviews. Once this is narrowed down to 10 or 12, we will have a try out photo shoot and some other challenges. I am excited. I want the best team in the industry! Looking forward to the journey. Once our team is picked they will have extensive education and working with me for development.
